Mind you. Spotify algorithms might be the closest algorithm that actually gets me (thanks to my usage), but damn. To be called out like that…

Again. Totally accurate, but literally Spotify, you’re definitely supposed to listen and not judge. How rude.
But honestly, I’ve been okay with drinking in nostalgia like it’s Kool Aid. I need comfort and I don’t mind watching Charlie’s Angels and Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle 30 times because they bring me more peace than people do.
The other day I was having a conversation with a sort of friend – this time surprisingly not initiated by me – that became politically or Trumply charged and this person told me to leave my own country. My own country. I was born here. And why, you ask? Because I was explaining I would always be behind people and not evil, rich millionaires. Because I kept going back to caring about people. Because I kept asking to care for something other than ourselves. Because I kept emphasizing care. And people, they don’t want to care.
Apparently, it’s too much work to care and serve others, so we must just care for ourselves until something affects us. And it’s all connected. It’s all so intrinsically connected. Selfishness bleeds into everything.
The same issues I have at work, in my personal life, and just in my day to day are all the same and lead back to: selfishness. When people refuse to be a villager and thus refuse their fellowman, it will naturally affect us all.
So I know it’s hard out here. It really does feel like we’re at each other’s throats, but just know I’m here and so are so many others that DO care about others and care about YOU.
