Good morning lovers.🪻💜
December 14th, 2025
Everything and everyone around me has asked me to slow down this December. I’ve been working on that for a bit now, but it definitely feels easier and nicer when asked. 🙂
I do believe we should slow down, especially this month. As I’ve mentioned before, it’s the last month of the year! Even if you are celebrating (like me) alone, still celebrate! Your accomplishments this year don’t depreciate in value just because there was no one there to see them. You saw them. When a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it and all that jazz..
My usual pace is hustle and bustle, and this month can sometimes accentuate that, but don’t let it. As I learned, even when I’m making my Maruchan Creamy Chicken soup, some things taste better when you slow down and take your time and let it simmer.
As Disney’s Pocahontas so eloquently put it once, “I know every rock and tree and creature has a life, has a spirit, has a name.” Life will send back what you put into it. For instance, my beautiful, gorgeous planty Pru has blossomed before my eyes:

Look at Pru! She outgrew her surroundings and is now blossoming in her new home! (Even that is a lesson…) I talk to her. Sing to her. And gently stroke her leaves and whatnot. One day I even teased her and asked her when she was going to start giving me grandflowers and the next day they showed up.
Everything has “a life, a sprit, and a name,” so be kind and gentle to yourself and to everything. Take your time and slowly pass through December, and you might just connect with your Soup Snake Michael Scott.
