Few things in my life have been as steady as Coke. To be honest, I don’t think there has been anything else…

Coke always tastes the same. Good day. Bad day. Coke hasn’t let me down. Of course, I try to drink from a can almost exclusively when I can help it,  but for the most part its flavor is consistent. In all my 41 years, nothing else has been a reliable.

Is the company itself worth commending? Not so much. I know. (I wrote about that its DEI decisions a while back actually: https://stoprightnowandreadmyblog.blog/2025/03/23/chic-a-cherry-cola/ ) But at least I can trust that when I pop open that can, it’ll taste the same as it has all my life. How many things – or even people – can you claim to have done that?

I guess what I’m trying to say is, I wish the world could be a bit more like Coke. We all deserve something in our lives that, no matter what kind of day we’re having, we can pop open and trust to deliver. Consistent sweetness. No matter what.
