It’s so amusing to me how the animal kingdom works. They all work in community whether they do it purposefully or not.

For instance, I have a bird feeder on my balcony and although Jeremy (a grackle) hasn’t been to visit – probably nesting or chilling with his other friends like I care – it’s still helping my little backyard community. New little villagers are appearing everyday.

Pigeons have started visiting, looking for new scraps I toss out from the day before. An anole has figured out that ants are going for the seed and so now he comes everyday to get his fill. And now, today, I found what I believe are opossum prints on my swinging chair.

It’s nice that nature helps itself like clockwork. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could do the same?
